Efiner sends a small number of text messages about your account. It does not send offers, and it never will. Here is exactly what that means.
Most people have been trained to treat an SMS opt-in as a trap. Tick the box for order updates, receive a discount code every Thursday for the rest of your life. That reputation is earned, and it means a company that genuinely only wants to send you operational messages has to say so in unusual detail.
So: in detail.
| Message | When |
|---|---|
| A connected account stopped syncing | When a feed fails and your position is going stale |
| Your projected low point moved materially | When a new item changes the 90-day low by more than your threshold |
| A scheduled item is due in the next few days | Only for items you have asked to be reminded about |
| Sign-in or billing notice | Security and account administration only |
That is the whole list. Message frequency varies because it depends on your accounts, not on our calendar — a quiet month may produce none at all.
If a text from Efiner ever tries to sell you something, it is a bug, and we would like to hear about it.
That last one is deliberate. A text is not a secure channel and it is often visible on a lock screen, so notifications say that something has changed and ask you to open Efiner. They do not quote the number.
Texts are opt-in and are never a condition of buying anything. Consent is collected once, on a form where the checkbox is unticked by default and the description sits next to it rather than three clicks away. Standard message and data rates may apply, because that is between you and your carrier.
You can stop them three ways: reply STOP to any message, turn notifications off in Settings, or email support and ask. Replying HELP returns contact details. Opting out of texts does not affect your plan, your data, or anything else about the account.
Because a feed that quietly stopped syncing four days ago is the one failure mode that makes every other number on the dashboard wrong, and email is where that notice goes to die. It is a small category of message that genuinely benefits from being unavoidable — which is exactly why the category has to stay small.
Account texts are included on every plan, including the free one, and off until you turn them on.
